#+title: New Hampshire and Chile free software politics
#+date: <2022-01-27>

News was that a New Hampshire bill to promote free software in
government services (especially mandating online government services
to be usable if nonfree javascript is blocked using tools like
LibreJS) is [[https://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/new-hampshire-residents-make-your-voice-heard-on-january-11th][on the table]], and [[https://drewdevault.com/2022/01/19/Help-Chile-promote-digital-freedoms.html][Chile]] is rewriting its constitution,
with proposals to include free software values (Access to knowledge)
and related digital rights values (Technological and digital
sovereignty and Internet privacy).
